'Sense of Falling' was recorded and produced by Dom over the course of 2022, in Cambridge and London.

The name derives from the feeling of falling in a dream; the perceived pressure of being pulled downwards. The fall is like a vortex that pulls the dreamer out of sleep, where the mind acts in self-preservation as it would with hearing a loud noise or feeling cold or warm. For me the title best reflects a later section of the song, reaching its apex, where the track inwardly tumbles into a spectral sound world.
